Auditions

All auditions are held at the theater at 10 S Mechanic Street in Lebanon. Please bring a performing resume and/or headshot if you have it, but it is not required.
Audition for our next show, Love/Sick!
Directed by Michael Schumacher

A darker cousin to Almost, Maine, John Cariani’s LOVE/SICK is a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. Set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality, this 80-minute romp explores the pain and the joy that comes with being in love. Full of imperfect lovers and dreamers, LOVE/SICK is an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.

Audition Dates: Monday, December 15 7:00pm
                             Tuesday, December 16 7:00pm

Cast: 6-8 people, male and female
Each actor will play multiple roles in different scenes. All characters are adults dealing with various issues in their relationships. Some characters are a little younger, some a little older, so we are looking for people who can play a wide range of characters.

Come ready to do cold reads from the script. You will have a few minutes to look over the scene before you go on stage. Be ready to make bold choices, try different characters, and have fun!

Need to Learn an Accent?

Some of our actors have had continued success learning a variety of accents via the Dialect Accent Specialist materials. These are a reasonably priced collection of downloadable audio dialect lessons by David Alan Stern. The collection includes a wide range of dialects, such as New York City, American Southern & Texas, Cockney, German, and even Arabic! More info here:  Accents & Dialects for Actors.

Learning Lines? Yes, There's an App for That!

There are a growing number of smart phone/device apps to help one learn lines. One that some of our actors highly recommend is LineLearner. An Actor's Companion, Tools for the Working Actor. is an excellent book for both those new to acting as well as advanced actors. It is a relatively short read, full of succinct and simply set forth principles and activities. Experimenting with these principles will enable you to give a better performance.
