The Séance is an interactive playlet, with seating limited to 12 guests (Sitters) per performance. You are playing you, with just a bit of embellishment. You’ve been asked by a close friend to come to 10 S. Mechanic Street for the evening, to help an acquaintance of your friend’s. Due to your interest in the paranormal and/or ghost stories in general, your friend thought you would be of assistance to this acquaintance. Your friend has otherwise been quite vague and evasive as to the evening’s purpose. Despite some misgivings, you couldn’t resist passing on the mysterious request from your friend. There is nothing you need to prepare for your participation, other than a willingness to embrace your fears and to experience what may lie on the "other side." *
Due to the nature of the performance and the subject matter relating to the supernatural and paranormal, this event is not intended for young children. Adults and mature teens over 16 years old are recommended.
* IMPORTANT NOTE: Okay, there is one more thing you may have to prepare for. If you typically require reading glasses, please be sure to bring your glasses to the event. Doing so will facilitate your participation in certain aspects of the interactive event.

The Foreigner
By Larry Shue Producer – Dawn Stone Director – Wayne Dunn May 18-20 & 25-27 2018 The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by "Froggy" LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time "Froggy" has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So "Froggy," before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should—the evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and his redneck associate; the fact that the minister's pretty fiancée is pregnant; and many other damaging revelations made with the thought that Charlie doesn't understand a word being said. That he does fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play and sets up the wildly funny climax. |
