Stellaluna
An Off the Hill Production By Saskia Janse Adapted from the book by Janell Cannon Directed by Daunielle Rasmussen Sat. Feb. 4 at 7pm A Mother Bat loves her baby, Stellaluna, with all her heart. But when an owl knocks Stellaluna out of her nest one night, she finds herself in Mama Bird’s nest with all her baby birds. Stellaluna adopts the ways of her newfound family, but when she has an opportunity to show them what life is like as a bat, they’re reluctant to do so. This popular children’s story lifts up the powers of friendship and understanding. Recommended for pre-k and up.

Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Tenor
By Ken Ludwig Producer – Director – Abby Kinnebrew-Smith Assistant Director – Rebecca Ashby Feb. 24-26 & Mar. 3-5 Lend Me A Tenor is set in September 1934. Saunders, the general manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is primed to welcome world-famous singer Tito Merelli, known as Il Stupendo, the greatest tenor of his generation, to appear for one night only as the star of the opera. Tito arrives late, and through a hilarious series of mishaps, he is given a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out. His pulse is so low that Saunders and his assistant Max believe he’s dead - and in a frantic attempt to salvage the evening, Saunders persuades Max to get into Merelli's costume and fool the audience into thinking he's Il Stupendo. Max succeeds and lives up to his idol, but Merelli regains consciousness and gets into the identical costume, ready to perform. Now two opera singers are running around in the same costume and two women are running around in lingerie, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo. "Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Tenor" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

Nevertheless, her annual recitals in the ballroom of the Ritz Carlton hotel brought her extraordinary fame. Her growing mob of fans packed her recitals, stuffing handkerchiefs in their mouths to stifle their laughter—which Mrs. Jenkins blissfully mistook for cheers. Souvenir, by turn hilarious and poignant, tells her story through the eyes of her accompanist, Cosme McMoon. Eyewitness accounts of their concerts vary so wildly it is almost impossible now to separate fact from gossip.
